Lockdown Cinema

Cinematography has always been a huge passion of mine. I would literally cut school to go to the cinema. As an artist I see great value in storytelling, I admire in-depth character creation and exploration of different topics and dilemmas through an intelligent dialog. There are countless of gems out there which is why I grew irritated when my social channels were flooded with memes about binge watching shitty series and poor attempts at entertainment. Hearing about Love Island and 365 days alike I was slowly losing all faith in humanity (as I am a Pole please accept my sincere apology, I have no idea how a country of so many great cinematic talents could ever release something of this humiliating quality).

That’s why I thought I would share a list of good movies with you (there’s nothing here below IMDb 6.5). If you’re on furlough or are saving time getting rid of commute and want to catch up on good quality entertainment you never had time for I encourage you to go through this list. I have used two most popular streaming platforms Amazon and Netflix to make it easier for the lazy ones. Whether you are looking for an all-time classic, witty Woody Allen, anti-racist cinema must see, a bit of magic or simply make your heart grow fonder there is something on the list for everyone. Enjoy!

PS.: This list ongoing so do come back to check once in a while. For a most up to date lists click on the links to my IMDb lists here:
