After countless attempts at buying tickets for this highly anticipated play I managed to secure the tickets for the show.. for a performance 11 months later.
Being fond of Harry Potter more than I would like to admit the play was a real treat for me. Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is playing in London’s West End at the Palace Theatre.
The spectacle is led with ‘keep the secret’ momentum I agreed not to break. However, I would like to acknowledge good costumes, great acting (Michelle Gayle smashing it as Hermione) as well as a wonderful scenography and choreography. Not to mention excellent magic tricks. The music might have been the only part not living up to my expectations. Don’t get me wrong – it’s not that it was bad. It just failed to keep up with the iconic theme that rings in my ears every time I think about HP.
Overall I would highly recommend the play both to HP fans and people not engaged with magical world of boy who lived.
Little tip for getting the tickets: It’s worth coming to the theatre before the show and try to get returned tickets.
