BYOD – Bring Your Own Device
New trend in IT consumerization. Since the world becomes more and more digitalised everyday technology becomes more accessible. With almost 3,500 mln (out of 7,500 mln) people connected to the internet today it doesn’t come as a surprise that devices such as mobile phones, laptops, tablets are in everyday use in developed countries. Many people feel more comfortable using their own devices for work/study/social life.
BYOD encourages employees to work on the device they choose at work- accessing corporate email on their smartphone or using a tablet to view text documents.
This trend has however one huge disadvantage – security risk for data circulation.
A Paperless society is one in which paper communication (written documents, mail, letters, etc.) is replaced by electronic communication and storage.
3-D printing is a manufacturing process that builds layers to create a three-dimensional solid object from a digital model.
To print a 3-D object, the manufacturer uses a 3-D computer-aided design (CAD) program to create a digital model that gets sliced into very thin cross-sections called layers. During the print process, the 3-D printer starts at the bottom of the design and builds up successive layers of material until the object is finished.
In its simplest form democratization is a process that aims to equalise opportunities, influences, rights and values of individuals. Democratization may be in the context of politics, corporations, internet, knowledge, design and technology. Democratization of technology means more people get access to tools and information that were previously reserved for a few.

User Experience Design (UXD, UED), Interaction Design (IxD), User Interface (UI) Design and other web/application design professionals use the term User Experience Design to refer to the judicious application of certain user-centered design practices, a highly contextual design mentality, and use of certain methods and techniques that are applied through process management to produce cohesive, predictable, and desirable effects in a specific person, or persona (archetype comprised of target audience habits and characteristics). All so that the affects produced meet the user’s own goals and measures of success and enjoyment, as well as the objectives of the providing organization.
